Coincidentally, Emily has a very similar strategy for the gathering in the new episode “The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire: An Oral History (Used), $11.” Meanwhile, Tom and Marina (Karla Souza) go to extreme lengths to prove they’ve still got game, while Sarah finds a solution to her history of giving terrible gifts.

A new documentary called “Fighting for Fertility” examines the complexities of human reproduction and emerging technologies that may assist those having trouble becoming parents. Infertility is becoming recognized as a growing health crisis faced by more and more Americans, affecting about 10 percent of adults in the United States. About 100,000 of those individuals are turning to in vitro fertilization (IVF) each year. The hour explores these topics from the perspective of actual couples and singles who are exploring their options in becoming parents.

8 p.m. on ABC The Conners

Darlene (Sara Gilbert) reaches a decision about her trip to Hawaii that triggers a heated face-off with Barb (guest star Candice Bergen) in the new episode “Jeopardé, Sobrieté, and Infidelité.” Elsewhere, Becky (Lecy Goranson) gives an emotional presentation on addiction to her nephew Mark’s (Ames McNamara) class. John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf also star; the guest cast also includes Estelle Parsons, Katey Sagal, Nat Faxon and Brian Austin Green.

Just as things start to go totally haywire at The Claw, a charismatic stranger shows up looking for Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and introducing himself as billionaire Tom Swift (guest star Tian Richards) in the new episode “The Celestial Visitor.” Elsewhere, Ace (Alex Saxon) has grave reservations about Nancy’s stubbornness concerning the best way to deal with Celia (guest star Teryl Rothery). 8 p.m. on MTV The Hills: New Beginnings

The cast of this docuseries sequel returns for their second season after a year of lockdowns and lost time due to the coronavirus pandemic. These new episodes find the show’s characters at a crossroads, with several of them struggling to save or rebuild business ventures that were hard-hit by COVID-19 restrictions. Others, meanwhile, navigate through rocky relationships, substance addictions and other health issues. Among the returnees are Audrina Patridge, Ashley Wahler, Brandon Thomas Lee, Brody Jenner, Spencer and Heidi Pratt, and Whitney Port.

9 p.m. on ABC A Million Little Things

In the wake of the George Floyd killing in Minnesota, the group of friends feels compelled to reflect on their own internal racial biases and take to the streets of Boston to advocate for equality in a new episode called “Listen.” For reasons of his own mental health, however, Rome (Romany Malco) opts out of that group activity, choosing instead to have a frank conversation with his father about the best way to effect change.
