MARY “LOUISE” (DOUGLASS) LUSK REYNOLDS,

93, was called home by God on July 1, 2021, in Little Rock, Ark. She was born on September 28, 1927, to Eldridge Parrish Douglass, Sr. and Claudia (Carvill) Douglass in Cotton Plant, Ark. Louise was a graduate of Brinkley High and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Louise loved gardening, riding horses, taking in stray dogs, and spending time with family and friends. Louise was a homemaker and worked for a brief period as a dental assistant. Louise married Jimmy Fields Lusk, and they enjoyed a long and happy life together. In 1999, Louise became a grandmother for the first time, and she adored her triplet grandbabies.

She enjoyed traveling and was a member of several churches, including, Trinity United Methodist Church in Muskogee and St. Paul’s UMC in Little Rock. Later in life, Louise married Ray Reynolds and had many happy years with him. She was a lifetime member of P.E.O., loved reading the Bible and her favorite devotional book “Jesus Calling.” She had an infectious laughter, a servant’s heart and was always willing to go above and beyond to help anyone. Louise loved all people as God loved her.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Eldridge Parrish Douglass Sr. and Claudia Carvill Douglass; first husband, Jimmy Fields Lusk; son, Robert E. Lusk; second husband, Raymond Reynolds; siblings, Martha Douglass Dorland and Eldridge Parrish Douglas, Jr.; nephew, John Lusk, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Jean Lusk Myrick.

She is survived by daughterin-law, Kathy Lusk; triplet grandchildren, Kate, Jimmy, and Martha Lusk; great-granddaughters, Elliott and Magnolia McGarrett; step-children, Roger Reynolds (Lisa), Ramona Rook (Alec), and Ricky Reynolds (Diana); step-grandchildren, Celeste Gladden, and Lindsey Gerdes (Nick); in-laws, John Lusk, Sr. (Becki) and Sara Douglass; nieces and nephews, Mici Ryberg (David), Linda Heironimus (Dan), Margaret Dorland, Nancy Maines, Diane Burck (Gary), Mary Jane Chupp (Dennis), Mary Lou Lusk, Philip Lusk, Kenneth Dorland (Mary), Doug Dorland (Shirleen) and David Myrick (Annette). Louise is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends who cherished their “Sister in Friendship” and their “Aunt Louise.”

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Road, Fort Gibson, Okla. 74434, where she will be laid to rest with first husband, Jimmy Lusk.

A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021, in Little Rock, AR at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2223 Durwood Road, Little Rock, AR 72207.
