2020 Tokyo Olympics

A year late and amid much trepidation, what is being dubbed the 2020 Tokyo Olympics finally gets underway with the Opening Ceremony. More than 11,000 athletes from 206 countries will stream into Olympic Stadium in the Japanese capital, which due to a state of emergency from the pandemic will be void of spectators. Competitions in 33 sports will then proceed for the next 17 days until the Closing Ceremony on Aug. 8.

When Sharks Attack

Highlighted in the new episode “Compilations: Most Shocking Spikes,” studying the most gasp-inducing string of shark attacks ever recorded may help experts prevent future attacks, or at least that’s the theory underlying the scrutiny by shark experts. A string of attacks in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, leaves experts completely dumbfounded; and they fear history may be repeating itself with a double-shark attack in New York.

Music Through the Lens

The new episode “On the Road” looks at some of the most memorable moments, whether it’s backstage, under the spotlight in performance or on the tour bus during the grueling schedule between shows. Pioneering photographers blazed new artistic trails and created era-defining imagery while on the road with such artists as David Bowie, Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, The Who, and Led Zeppelin. Also: how the “Three Songs, No Flash” rule came to be.

Meanwhile, Britney is stunned and hurt when she’s not the only woman at Ray’s release hearing, and Anissa gets a devastating phone call.
