Phyllis Jean Womack,

GULFPORT, Miss. — age 84, of Gulfport, Miss., formerly of Atkins, Ark., and Nimrod, Ark., died Friday, July 30, 2021. She was born August 29, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Okla., as the daughter of William McKinley and Sarah Elizabeth Buckmaster.

She was a member of River of Life Church, Atkins First Freewill Baptist Church, and Nimrod Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Jessie “Buster” Womack, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Billy Myrow; along with her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Sara Buckmaster.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Dodie Busby of Biloxi, Miss., and Penny and Joe Clay of North Little Rock; two sons, Mike Myrow of Texas, and Randy Womack of Little Rock; five grandchildren; and one granddaughter-in-law, Todd Barnes of Biloxi, Miss., Tracy Johnson of Gulfport, Miss., Sawyer Busby of Biloxi, Miss., Matthew Myrow of Texas, and Cory and Racheal Clay of North Little Rock; three great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson in-law, Shelby and Daniel Clute of Gulfport, Miss., Taylor Gorge of Kansas, and Caleb Johnson of Gulfport, Miss.; one great-great-granddaughter, Nora Rae Clute of Gulfport; and numerous extended family members and so many called her “Granny.”
