7 p.m. on PBS Muhammad Ali

Filmmaker Ken Burns explores the life and career of one of the most consequential men of the 20th century in this four-part docuseries, which airs nightly through Wednesday. In development for six years, the series remembers the three-time heavyweight boxing champion who captivated millions of fans with his skills inside the ring, as well as his immense personal charm. In tonight’s premiere, “Round One: The Greatest (1942-1964),” the man born as Cassius Clay rises from the amateur ranks to win gold at the 1960 Olympics and become a heavyweight contender.

7 p.m. on CBS 73rd Emmy Awards

From the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, Cedric the Entertainer serves as host for in-person ceremonies before a limited audience of Emmy nominees and their guests honoring the best TV programs and performances airing between June 1, 2020, and May 31, 2021. Among this year’s field of nominees, Netflix scored the highest level of nods (27) than any other programmer. Another streaming service — Apple TV Plus — also made a splash as home to the comedy series “Ted Lasso,” which earned 13 nominations, more than any other program.

7 p.m. on FOX Fantasy Island

In the Season 1 finale, “Día de los Vivos,” Elena Roarke (Roselyn Sanchez) welcomes a young artist named Ramon (guest star Matt Pascua), who has traveled to this magic destination seeking to resolve some unfinished business with his former mentor, Jasper (guest star Leslie Jordan). For his part, Jasper has lingering misgivings about whether he was a good influence on Ramon during their time together. Kiara Barnes and John Gabriel Rodriguez also star.

7 p.m. on DISC Alaskan Bush People

Loving memories of recently departed family patriarch Billy Brown inspire an exciting new phase of North Star Ranch that includes a massive zipline project and the search for gold on the mountain as this hit reality series opens Season 13 with “Out of the Ashes.” Just as the Wolfpack gains momentum, however, a sudden wildfire devastates the homestead.

7:20 p.m. on NBC NFL Football

A clash of likely AFC playoff teams is on tap tonight at M&T Bank Stadium, where Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens hope to use the home field to their advantage against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The defending conference champs saw quite a bit of turnover in the offseason but managed to bring in plenty of talent to replace the losses. The Ravens, meanwhile, have a few questions to answer in 2021 but should be in the mix for a postseason berth.

8 p.m. on AMC The Walking Dead

Aaron, Carol, Lydia, and Jerry (Ross Marquand, Melissa McBride, Cassady McClincy, Cooper Andrews) venture out to the Hilltop ruins, where they hope to acquire some abandoned blacksmith tools and harvest any nearby game in the new episode “Out of the Ashes.” Meanwhile, Eugene’s (Josh McDermitt) group goes through orientation at the Commonwealth. Elsewhere, Maggie and Negan (Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan) trudge through the woods together, while Judith (Cailey Fleming) and the kids clash with some teenagers.

8 p.m. on FOOD Halloween Wars

Paranormal investigator Zak Bagans (“Ghost Adventures”) will be drawing on some of his own past cases and related artifacts from them for inspiration as he throws down the challenges to new teams of cake and sugar artists as this wildly popular fall competition series returns for Season 11. In the season premiere, “Possessed Toys,” Bagans recalls a spooky doll in his Haunted Museum tourist attraction as he challenges the teams to create cakes that will impress judges Shinmin Li, Aarti Sequeira and Eddie Jackson.

8 p.m. on HMM Movie: Finding Love in Mountain View

Although she’s focused on her career as a budding architect, Margaret’s (Danielle C. Ryan) sense of duty compels her to respect her late cousin’s wishes when the latter leaves custody of her two children (Skyler Elise Philpot, Luke Loveless) to Margaret in her will. Upon arriving in her hometown after an extended absence, Margaret also is caught off-guard by the discovery that her old flame Andrew (Myko Olivier) has become an important person in the lives of the two kids. Soon, Margaret faces a critical decision in this 2021 romance.

9 p.m. on ABC To Tell the Truth

Host Anthony Anderson welcomes Cedric the Entertainer and comics London Hughes and Nikki Glaser to tonight’s new episode, in which they’ll try to discern which mystery panelists are telling the truth about their identity, profession or achievement. Tonight’s lineup includes a butter sculptor, a professional ballet dancer, a catfish noodler, a celebrity trainer and someone who found a nine-carat diamond.
