MONICA “BOO BOO” LYNN O’NEAL,

58, of Little Rock, Ark., was called home to her Lord and Savior early on Friday, October 15, 2021. She was born in Memphis, Tenn., on July 27, 1963.

Monica accepted Christ when her family relocated to Little Rock in the 1970’s and was baptized at First Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of the Reverend Lawrence Evans. Monica was employed with the City of Little Rock in the Public Works department for over 24 years. In her tenure, she worked in Street operations and as a Utility Worker. She received many certificates and awards. Her most notable award was from Little Rock City Manager Bruce Moore for Outstanding Attendance. Monica served until her earthly departure in the role as Maintenance Worker and Equipment Operator where she was the Warehouse supervisor. “Money” as she was mostly called in the Public Works Department was a full of humor, extremely comical, and gave unselfishly.

Monica is preceded in death by her mother, Georgia O’Neal and her sister, Ronyha O’Neal-Champ. Monica leaves to cherish her many laughable memories to, her daughter, Nikile (Sylvester) Price; sons, Lawrence James and Ernest “David” O’Neal; sister, Donna (Calvin) Anderson; brother, Darden “Lindsey” O’Neal; and grandchildren; Farrah, Jarrious, Jeremiah, Jakala, Ashtyn, Dylan; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation today, Thursday, 21, from 5-7 p.m., at O.T. Memorial Chapel/Kelly Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, 8424 Kanis Road, Little Rock, 501-612-5607. Graveside service Friday, October 22, at Elmlawn Cemetery, 5900 West 12th Street, Little Rock. Kelly Smith Funeral & Cremation Services will be serving the O’Neal families.
