LONOKE — Bettie L. Kidder,

age 85 of Lonoke, Ark., passed from this life on October 18, 2021 surrounded by family. Bettie was born on May 30, 1936, in Lonoke, Ark., to Delmar and Edna Bettis.

She was a proud Lonoke Alumni Class of 1954. Bettie was a hard-working lady with determination like no other. After many long years of employment, she retired from Remington Arms.

She enjoyed gardening and always shared their abundance of vegetables with neighbors and friends. One of her favorite times was working in her yard with her many flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her grand-and great-grandchildren, most always with camera in hand.

Bettie was an active member of Smokey Lane Apostolic Church for more than 40 years. She was always willing to help others. God and family were her priority in her life.

Bettie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, pastor Royal Kidder; and a special bonus daughter, Renee “Kidder” Pack.

Bettie is survived by son, Wayne “Tinker” Smith Jr. (Jo) of Mayflower; daughter, Debbie King (Kenneth) of Cabot, sister, Marie Davis of Jonesboro; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, October 23rd, at 1 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 3 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke, Ark.

Interment will be at Lonoke Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lonoke Animal Shelter in which Bettie had a big heart for. Online guestbook, www.boydfuneralhome.net
