Fox’s blockbuster music competition series moves to a new night this week only for the new special “All-Time Countdown,” which counts down the greatest performances in the history of the show. Host Nick Cannon also takes viewers through a look back at some previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage from the current Season 6, while dropping some new clues and hints to contestants who are still unmasked.

7 p.m. on CW All American

Hunter Clowdus, who plays Beverly Hills High quarterback JJ Parker, gets promoted to series regular as this semi-autobiographical sports drama opens Season 4 with “Survival of the Fittest.” In the aftermath of the dramatic events at the Beverly and Crenshaw State Championship last season, Spencer (Daniel Ezra) also must come to terms with what happened with Coop and Layla (Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou). Also, it’s national signing day for football, so he faces a major decision there. Taye Diggs also stars.

8 p.m. on CW 4400

A reboot of a sci-fi cable series that ran from 2004-07 on USA Network, this new CW makeover once again deals with the mysterious and collective reappearance of 4400 seemingly random people after vanishing inexplicably over the last century. What makes their mass return to the city of Detroit even more baffling is how none of them seems to have aged a day since their disappearance, sending government experts racing for answers. The cast includes Brittany Adebumola, Joseph David-Jones, Ireon Roach and Jaye Ladymore.

8 p.m. on FOOD Halloween Baking Championship

The four finalists must face their worst fears as host John Henson challenges them to bake using an ingredient they absolutely hate in the two-hour season ender “Finale: The Killer Is ... . ” The maniac stalking their group, abetted by judges Carla Hall, Zac Young and Stephanie Boswell, claim a last victim before the final trio battle it out to determine which of them takes home $25,000 and the title of Halloween Baking Champion.
