JAMES LEWIS HOWELL,

93, of North Little Rock, departed this life on November 25, 2021. He was born December 5, 1927, to James Bryan and Virginia Belle Lewis Howell. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1946, served in the Marine Corp from 1946 to 1950, and worked as a technician for Southwestern Bell/AT&T until 1986.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tanna Murry Howell; and son, James R. Howell. He is survived by grandsons, Douglas Howell (Whitney), and David Howell; daughter “of choice”, Cammy Ferguson (Cleve); sister, Virginia Spence; brother-in-law, Rucker Murry (Wilma) of Prescott; and many extended family members. Any time shared with family was precious to him.

Visitation will be Friday, December 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Ken Shaddox, will be Saturday, December 4, at 1 p.m., in the sanctuary of Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East C Street, North Little Rock.
