ALBERTA JONES TAYLOR,

age 88, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Alberta was born on March 27, 1933, in Little Rock, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Taylor Sr; parents, Leroy and Mary Alice Jones and Alfreda Jones (step-mother) and two sisters: Edith Johnson and Judith Watts. She is survived by four children: Franchella Kendall (Milton), Deborah Brown, Dan Taylor Jr., and Reginald Taylor, eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her sister, Mary Alice Blackburn, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mrs. Taylor graduated from Dunbar Junior College in Little Rock, Ark. She retired from the Little Rock School District, where she held the position of “registrar” at Parkview High school. Mrs. Taylor was also the sponsor of the Parkview Liberty Bells drill team. She was a member of St. Marks Baptist Church, Little Rock, Ark. She enjoyed being with her family, traveling; attending and watching sports; and listening to music. She enjoyed life!!

A graveside service will be held at the Pinecrest Cemetery at 11 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, located at 7401 Highway 5 N., Alexander, Ark., 72202. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. www.pancan.org.
