FAYETTEVILLE — Christina Beatrice Granger,

passed away on December 3, 2021. She was 79 years old. She was born in Pensacola, Florida, on September 29, 1942, to Birdie and Eugene Brown. Christina spent the first half of her adult life in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is where she met her lifelong best friend, DeDe. Christina loved birdwatching and was active in Arkansas Audubon Society for many years, including serving as its President. She was a member of the Ozark Society and loved the outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and canoeing. Christina especially enjoyed canoeing the Buffalo River, something that her son continues to enjoy to this day and he, in turn, has passed this love to his sons. She also developed her passion for knitting and needlework while in Little Rock. Christina loved to travel, and especially enjoyed her trips to Santa Fe and Taos.

After her children were grown, Christina moved to Fairhope, Alabama. She loved the warm Gulf weather, working in her garden, and walking the beach. Christina had a creative flair and immersed herself into the local arts community. She enjoyed knitting with her local knitting group and making pottery. Many of Christina’s pottery pieces were sold in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Christina is survived by her two brothers, Bobby (Marie) and Jerry (Karen)and their families, her daughters, Susan (David) and Cynthia (Mark) and her son, Bruce (Meaghan); her seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Katherine, Nicholas, Lauren, Benjamin, Milton, and Mary Margaret; and her two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Emilia.
