Local election filings
The filing period closed Monday for November elections in Jacksonville and Sherwood, with the mayoral race in each city drawing four candidates, including the incumbents. Municipal, nonpartisan elections will be held Nov. 8, the date of the general election. Early voting will start Oct. 24. Here is the list of candidates who met the deadline for Jacksonville and Sherwood elections. This is not yet a certified list, according to the Pulaski County clerk's office.
