Trooper arrests man in drug, weapon case

A traffic stop early Wednesday led to Arkansas state police arresting a man on gun and drug charges, according to an arrest report.

A state trooper pulled over Gray Windell, 18, of Little Rock, shortly before 12:50 a.m. on Interstate 430 because he was reportedly failing to stay in his lane.

The trooper reported seeing bags of suspected marijuana in the floor of the passenger side, leading him to search the vehicle. He reportedly found several digital scales, more bags of suspected marijuana and a gun between the driver’s seat and the console.

Windell is charged with three felonies — simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, possession of a defaced firearm and a drug possession charge — as well as a careless and prohibited driving count.
