NLR man jailed on gun-related charge

North Little Rock police late Tuesday arrested a man who had a gun illegally, according to an arrest report.

Police pulled over Arlanzas Poole, 32, of Little Rock, shortly after 10:15 p.m. on Smarthouse Way, reporting that the vehicle had expired tags.

According to the arrest report, Poole gave consent to search the vehicle, and the officer found a Beretta 9mm pistol and two loaded magazines, one of them in a bag that contained Poole’s ID and credit cards.

Poole is a convicted felon and cannot legally own a gun. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a certain person, a felony.
