JOHN EDMOND WEBB,

70, passed on to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday August 2, 2022, at Cornerstone Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. He was born on December 8, 1951, and remained a lifelong resident of Little Rock.

He was the fourth of six children born of C. E. Jr and Mary Woodson Webb. John was a Hall High Warrior and received his Bachelor’s degree from UALR. He began his career in the family business, Windsor Door Company, while still in college. He later used his many skills in HR management, training and safety improvement, and made lifelong friends at Arkansas Department of Human Services and at Central Arkansas Water before retirement. He served as President of Central Arkansas Human Resource Association in 1991 and INARK in 2009.

John never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing his life’s passions and extensive knowledge, favorites of which were hunting and fishing, rendezvous, and reenactments, leatherworking, music and everything food. He enjoyed playing the guitar, especially lively Christian hymns. His sociable nature and love of teaching touched many lives through his involvement with Young Life, Boy Scouts, BB of A, Indian Inter-Tribal Association of Arkansas, and Parkview Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder. He was a lifelong student of history particularly of Native American cultures and WWII, where his father served as a Marine aviator. He was a Life Member of the NRA and shared a love for guns, hatchets and knives, both modern and primitive, with his grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Webb; and sister Carolyn Myers. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Cathy Womack Webb; daughters, Laura Fout (Josh) and Katherine Quinn (Wesley); and son, Chris Webb; grandsons, Holland Fout, Mason Quinn, and Will Quin; and his siblings, David Webb (Marilyn), Mary Jo Pruitt (Craig), James Webb (Dobby); along with many nieces, nephews, and in-laws that he loved dearly.

Celebration of life services will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 13th. Graveside interment to follow.
