CABOT — Martha Heffington Walker,

84, of Cabot, passed away on Jan. 27, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born in Enola, Ark. to Barney and Willie Belle Heffington on Aug. 12, 1938. She was married to Don Walker on Oct. 1, 1964. She is survived by her husband, a son John Walker (Susan) of Forney, Tex. and a daughter Tammy Estes (Billy) of Vilonia, Ark. She has six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Fern King; brother, James Heffington and two sons, Jerry Don and David Scott.

Martha pursued a career in education earning a master’s degree in elementary education from the Arkansas State Teachers College in 1960. She spent the majority of her 37-year career at Bayou Meto Elementary. Martha was also a long-term member of the Mars Hill Church of Christ.

Visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. The funeral service will be held at Mars Hill Church of Christ on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m.
